1001 Festival – 2023 edition

Allez en route pour la treizième édition si je ne m’abuse, 2023 sera une année de transition, avec une ouverture plus grande vers l’internationale et un retour aux fondamentaux du Contact Improvisation (CI) !

Le festival proposera cette année des cours intensifs de CI et de nombreux ateliers pour explorer certaines matières, varier les points de vue, mais toujours en CI. Chaque soir, les jams se dérouleront dans une magnifique salle ouverte sur le Vercors, près d’Autrans. Le programme autorisera pleins d’échappés en intérieur et en extérieur, et des temps d’exploration entre participants.

Pour le reste, on garde la formule confort en petits appartements, et la nourriture sans cuisinièr.e extérieur.e, où les participants cuisineront une fois sur la semaine un repas pour 13-14 personnes afin que chacun profite le reste du temps du festival. Le festival se déroule dans le cadre d’un grand parc au calme, avec piscine et un accès immédiat à la forêt et la montagne environnante. Et même un espace de garde la journée pour les enfants de 3 à 17 ans !

Here we go for the 13^th edition of the festival (if I’m not mistaken!). 2023 will be a transition year during which we open towards the international scene as well as return to the fundamentals of Contact Improvisation (CI)!

This year the festival will offer intensive CI courses and numerous workshops to explore a variety of subjects and points of view, but always in relation to CI. Each evening, the jams will take place in a magnificent hall overlooking the Vercors mountains, near Autrans (50 minutes from Grenoble France). The program will allow for plenty of indoor and outdoor escapades as well as time for participants to meet and exchange.

In terms of organization, we’re keeping things simple: small apartments and shared cooking, in which participants will cook a meal for 13-14 people once during the week. The festival takes place in a large, quiet park with a swimming pool and immediate access to the surrounding forest and mountains. And there’s even a day care center for children 3 to 17 years old!
